Phillips New York at 432 Park Avenue.
Never mind the get-out-of-town crowd, summer in New York is the best time to explore the city from the comfort of the great indoors. And hey, technically you're still on island time. But two things make it even better: air-conditioning and art, and we've got both in droves at 432 Park Avenue.
Below, check out all that Phillips offers to the Empire City this summer. Check back here as more events are added throughout the summer.
Hoarder VI: The Migration

Viewing: 9–16 July
Online Auction: 8–17 July
The summer kicks off with Hoarder VI: The Migration, an online sale of contemporary art and design from the personal collection of artist, writer, and lecturer Kenny Schachter. Online bidding for the auction will be open 8–17 July, coinciding with a preview exhibition on view from 9–16 July. Art world Dionysians and collectors are encouraged to visit our’ Park Avenue galleries to view the works and perhaps even meet the Hoarder in person. Most lots will be offered without reserve.
Live Auction: Modern & Contemporary Art

Helen Frankenthaler, Untitled, 1980. Modern & Contemporary Art New York Auction.
Viewing: 9–15 July
Auction: 16 July 10 AM EST
Phillips New York’s Modern & Contemporary Art Auction takes place on 16 July at 10AM ET. As always, the public is invited to experience the works firsthand from 9–15 July while the preview exhibition is on view. Top lots of the auction include Robert Motherwell’s commanding painted collage, The Irish Troubles (1981), a powerful example of the artist’s engagement with political conflict through poetic abstraction, and Richard Prince’s The Song 2120 South Michigan Ave. (1989), a striking diptych from the artist’s iconic Joke series that exemplifies the intersection between pop culture and fine art.
Dropshop
Leopoldo Goût in his studio.
Available from 8 July, 10 AM EST
Artist, writer, and filmmaker Leopoldo Goût works across mediums to capture the clash of memory and humanity with chaos. In his studio, materials speak through tension and vibration: bronze crackles with atomic recollection and textures whisper songs passed down through bloodlines. Capturing that mythological energy, Stag Hurricane, shaped entirely from memory, transcends traditional representation. The deer emerges as a symbolic glyph — inscribed with his personal mythology and ancestral memory.
Phillips Staff Art Show 2025
Viewing: 20–28 August
If we're talking pound-for-pound impact, Richard Serra's moving company, the aptly-named Low Rate Movers, has just about any MFA program in the city beat. Its alumni network includes composers Phillip Glass and Steve Reich, artist Chuck Close, actor Spalding Gray, filmmaker Michael Snow, and, of course, Serra himself. All this preamble to say that artists and day jobs go together like Rousseau and the douanier's stamp, and you can come see our staff's work in August before we all hit the big time, presumably shortly thereafter. No heavy lifting required.
