The art world never sleeps in New York, not even in July.

Helen Frankenthaler, Untitled, 1980. Modern & Contemporary Art New York

Fair warning: Next month is your last chance to sell and bid in Phillips’ spring season — our Modern & Contemporary Art live auction in New York will take place on 16 July.

As the only auction house to hold a live auction in this category in the summer, our teams are on the ground working for you with as much dedication and expertise as any other time of year. In fact, throughout the summer, our doors are open, our galleries are full, eyes wide. But most importantly, collectors are bidding.

Now in its third year, we look back at our previous July sales and see that when it comes to appealing and intriguing works by collectible names, there's always a market.

Paddles at the ready, mark your calendars, and stay tuned as the full catalogue for the sale will be announced soon. Plus, there’s still time to get in on the action and consign with Phillips by 25 June. It might just be the perfect time of year.
